Allison started color guard in 8th grade with the Holly Springs Jr. Hawks and was hooked on the activity ever since. She continued spinning all four years at Holly Springs High School in both color guard and winter guard, then went on to East Carolina University, where she performed with the ECU color guard for all four years while earning her degree in Elementary Education. During that time, she also coached the color guad at Holly Springs High School during band camps, and performed with Carolina Visual Productions (CVP). Once graduating with her undergraduate degree, she continued her education earning an MS in Education from ECU. She also started as an assistant coach for the ECU’s color guard, and recently completed her final age-out season with CVP. Since then, she's continued coaching at ECU as assistant coach. She also recently finished her second season with First Flight. She performed with the World Class group in 2025, and performed with the Open Class team this past season. She plans to spin this winter with the World Class team once again! Professionally, she works at ECU in Student Life, managing finances for the department and the Student Government. Outside of work and guard, she co-owns a cat rescue in Greenville called Feline Freedom Society, and loves to go to the beach!
Ms. Salazar has instructed guard at Campbell University and Willow Spring High school in the past and has been a clinician at Carolina Visual Productions. She has been spinning since she was in middle school and performed with West Johnston World Guard, Carolina Visual Productions Independent A, and First Flight World. She is currently in school to receive my UX/UI degree and hopefully will be graduating in August of 2026 from Purdue University. She is super excited to work with Fuquay Varina High School and can’t wait to see how much the guard grows this season.
